Basket of Flowers Spiral Twist Vase

These baskets actually started as a custom order that I loved and now make regularly. A teacher asked me to make her pencil holders as a gift for other teachers. She wanted to be able to separate sharp pencils from unsharpened pencils. This is the design I came up with, and it is so much fun and has so many possibilities! The baskets are handcrafted on the potters wheel from stoneware clay and then altered. They have a swirling spiral twisting up to the rim and a nice big handle.

Each versatile basket is a hostess’s best friend and also makes a great gift. Put this on the buffet line with your cutlery wrapped in a napkin. It may be used as a flower vase, kitchen spoon jar, or office organizer. It is great for kitchen utensils, bathroom organizer or on vanity tables. I can just see it as a get well gift filled with fresh cut flowers. Fill with sweet treats as a gift basket for a house warming party...fried Twinkies on a stick anyone?
